BATH - No. 8 seeded Bath got past No. 9 seeded Wellsville on Wednesday in the first round of the Section V Class C1 playoffs 3-1 by scores of 25-14, 25-20, 9-25 and 25-20.

Maddy Scott had 17 digs and five kills for the Rams, Jordan Machuga added eight aces and seven digs, Ali Dickson posted four kills and nine digs and Jubalee Krisher chipped in 12 setter assists.

Jordan Pettit had 16 kills and two blocks to lead Wellsville and Jeden Hyslip posted five kills and three aces.

"I was pleased with the intensity the girls had to start the game," Bath head coach Stacey Brzezinski said. "It was a key to our success tonight. Wellsville is strong at the net. Our serving made it difficult for them to get anything going offensively. "

The Rams are now 9-10 and will travel to LeRoy, the No. 1 seed, on Friday at 6 p.m.

Wellsville ends its season 8-12.

Bath 4, Wayland-Cohocton 0

JASPER-TROUPSBURG - No. 1 seeded Bath took care of No. 4 Wayland-Cohocton 4-0 on Wednesday at Jasper-Troupsburg.

Thomas Binkowski had two goals for the Rams and Javier Martin and Dylan Dickson added single goals.

Binkowski, Martin and Logan Ingram added assists.

Bath outshot Wayland-Cohocton 17-11 in the contest.

Griffin Yastremski had five saves for the Rams and Jeff Fox posted five

The Rams will next play on Saturday against No. 2 seeded World Of Inquiry.

Bath is currently the Number two ranked team in New York State in Class B2.
