BATH - Bath opened up its season with a 50-40 non-conference win over York on Tuesday in its home opener.

"All the credit goes to the kids, they played hard and with a lot of intensity tonight," Bath head coach William Baker said.

After a closely contested two quarters, the Rams led 27-23.

Coming out of the break, Bath outscored York 14-1 to pull away.

"The third quarter we came out and battled them and only allowed one free-throw," Baker said. "The kids played great defense and are really starting to come together."

Ethan Buckley led the Rams with 14 points, Blake Hess added 12, Stefan Ordway contributed eight points and Sam Arnts chipped in seven points.

Matthew Mcfarlan had 12 points to lead York and Blake Nahalka netted seven points.
