CORNING - Logan Guiles signed her National Letter of Intent to attend and play Division II lacrosse at Ursuline College in Ohio on Thursday at Corning-Painted Post High School.

“This experience is unbelievable,” said Guiles. “When I was a kid, I honestly didn’t think I was going to get to this spot right now. My family, friends, coaches and teammates have pushed me to multiple points that I never thought I could be on. It really is a dream come true.”

Guiles loved the atmosphere of the all girls school and the focus on women’s education on her visit to Ursuline.

“When I went there and talked to them about everything, I just knew that that was the spot,” Guiles said.

The two-year defender for the Hawks varsity squad will join another former alumni, Abby Allard, at Ursuline which will make the transition easier for her.

“Going to college out of New York State and knowing someone there, I kinda feel a little more at home,” said Guiles. “I talked to her and she talked to to the team and everything, and based off what I’ve heard, the team will be my new team family. I’m really excited for it.”

Jillian is a member of the C-PP National Honor Society and has consistently made the high honor roll or honor roll throughout her high school career.

She is also the vice president of the Sister Cites San Giovanni Valdarno program. As a member of the committee, Jillian has served as a host for students from Italy on two separate occasions, as well as traveling abroad as an ambassador of the C-PP School District.

Guiles plans to major in Sport Psychology at Ursuline.
