ADDISON - Addison used a strong second quarter to edge Williamson 46-35 on Saturday at home in a non-conference girls basketball matchup.

The Knights fell down 10-1 in the first quarter, but pulled it to within 11-9 at the end of the quarter.

In the second, Addison outscored the Marauders 15-8 for a 24-19 lead at the half.

“We started off really slow, but in the second quarter, we picked it up defensively," Addison head coach Joe Oliviero said.

The Knights went on to outscore the Marauders 22-16 in the second half.

Addison was led by Sadie Morse who had 11 points and five assists, Hannah Roy added nine points, Tayah Jackson contributed eight points, eight steals and five assists and Taylor Terwilliger chipped in seven points and nine boards.

We played good defense, had balanced scoring and it was enough to win tonight,” Oliviero said.

Emily Yusko led Williamson with 10 points and Brittany Boyce added eight points.

Addison improves to 5-1 with the win and will host Prattsburgh on Friday in its next game at 7:15 p.m.
