EDISON - Bath improved its record to 6-1 with a 48-23 road win over Edison on Friday.

The Rams got out to a 9-2 start in the first quarter, followed that up with a 16-8 second quarter and never looked back. Jadyn Abrams and Mackenna Taggart each posted 15 points and nine rebounds for the Rams.

"We’ve had a lot of sickness making its way through the team and were missing two tonight so I was just happy to get through the game," Bath head coach Randy Abrams said.

Bath will participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament in its next contest on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against Penn Yan.

 "We’ve got a tough set of games next week in our Coaches vs Cancer tournament with Wellsville, Penn Yan and state ranked Odessa-Montour," said Abrams.

IAC Bowling

Watkins Glen 4, Edison 0; Watkins Glen 3, Edison 1

WATKINS GLEN - Both the Watkins Glen boys and girls bowling teams posted victories over Thomas A. Edison on Friday in an IAC bowling matchup.

The Seneca boys won 4-0 and were led by Casen Weeden's 539 series that included a 224 game. H. Nathaniel Rose rolled a 505 series and Steven Bradley added a 188 game.

Dustin Gleason shot a 469 series that included a 193 game for Edison.

On the girls side, Watkins Glen was led by Nikole VanDyke who rolled a 448 series with a 176 first game. Nancy Jackson added a 440 series. Mackenzi Bonyak had a 499 series for Edison.

Avon 54, Bath 21

AVON - Avon won six of 10 matches on its way to a 54-21 win on Bath Friday.

Nick Rivers (132 pounds) and Jaydn Kurtz (195 pounds) posted decision wins and Malachy Ferrell (138 pounds), Jon Robinson (145 pounds), Jimmy Gross (220 pounds) and Isaiah Chisom (285 pounds) all won by pin fall for Avon. For the Rams, Adam Pickering won by fall at the 5:10 mark at 120 pounds, Gerritt Clark posted a pin fall victory at 170 pounds in 3:05 and Devon Rickard (160 pounds) recorded a 12-8 victory by decision.
