ADDISON - Addison defeated Bolivar-Richburg on Monday 65-42 in a rescheduled game of the The Allegany Co. Deputy Sheriffs Association's Dan Barkley Basketball Showcase that pits Steuben County teams against Alleghany County Squads. The victory gave Steuben County a 4-3 win for the tournament and a 3-1 showcase lead in the all-time series after being established in 2015.

As for the game, the Knights came out strong with a 20-14 lead in the first quarter powered by two 3-pointers from Adam Chilson and seven points from Nick Sutryk.

Addison upped its lead to 31-22 at halftime on five points from Chilson and extended the lead to 48-35 as Danny Ames, Sutryk and Chilson all chipped in five points a piece for the Knights.

The Wolverines had no answer for the Knights in the fourth quarter, as Addison outscored them 17-7 to pull away.

"Our pressure defense eventually wore down a pesky Bolivar-Richburg squad," Addison head coach Mike Makowiec said.

Chilson led Addison with 19 points including five 3-pointers and recorded four steals, Ames added 15 points and Sutryk poured in 14 points. John Stierly also chipped in six blocked shots for the Knights.

Parker Cole had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolverines.

The Knights imrpove to 14-3 and will host Bradford in the round of the Steuben County Tournament on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

All proceeds of the showcase fund Scholarships of $500 to Allegany County High School Seniors through the Allegany Co. Deputy Sheriffs Association.
