SOUTHERN CAYUGA - Elmira Notre Dame had a well balanced scoring attack to top Southern Cayuga 76-40 on Friday.

Ben Cook led the Crusaders with 21 points, Kyreese Fisher added 15 points and Gary Raupers chipped in 10 points.

"We played pretty well, got a lot of contributions from a lot of different sources tonight," Elmira Notre Dame head coach Bill Hopkins said.

The Crusaders outscored Southern Cayuga 44-24 in the first half and never looked back.

John Groth had 12 points for Southern Cayuga.

Elmira Notre Dame improves to 14-5 with the win.

Horseheads 59, Corning 36

HORSEHEADS - Horseheads improved to 13-5 with a 59-36 win over Corning on Thursday.

Jillian Casey got the Blue Raiders off to a fast start with nine first quarter points as Horseheads led 20-10 after eight minutes.

Horseheads upped its lead to 31-19 at halftime after a strong second quarter from Abby Clark, who had two 3-pointers.

Alli Richmond netted three 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Blue Raiders pulled away.

Kenna Newman led the Hawks with 18 points.

Steuben County Boys Tournament

Hammondsport 49, Jasper-Troupsburg 39

HAMMONDSPORT -  No. 4 Hammondsport edged No. 5 Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats 49-39 on Thursday in the first round of the Steuben County Tournament.

The Lakers stepped away from the 1st quarter with a 11-2 lead. The Wildcats outscored the Lakers in the 2nd quarter.

Then Hammondsport rallied back in the fourth to secure the win. Parker Watson had 16 points with 11 rebounds.

Brayden Whitcomb added 11 points and 8 rebounds while Luke Atkinson netted 10 points and 8 rebounds. JT’s high scorer was Connor VanGorden with 14 points. Hammondsport will play Prattsburgh in Bath on 2/10 @ 730pm.

Steuben County Girls Tournament

Prattsburgh 62, Addison 32

PRATTSBURGH - No. 1 Prattsburgh got off to a fast start to top No. 4 Addison 62-32 on Thursday in the semi-finals of the Stebuen County Tournament.

The Vikings outscored the Knights 23-8 in the first eight minutes led by nine points (three 3-pointers) by Jenna Pinckney and six points from Lauren Robbins and never looked back.

"The girls came out hot tonight, We jumped on them in the first quarter," Prattsburgh head coach Jeff Gilbert said.

Robbins finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and four blocks and notched the 1,000 point of her career in the third quarter.

"It was nice to get the win on the night Lauren scored her 1000th point," Gilbert said.

Hannah Wijkamp had 13 points and Pinckney added nine points.

Hannah Roy led the Knights with 14 points.
