ADDISON - Addison got offensive in its 7-1 home opening win over Campell-Savona on Thursday in a Steuben County Athletic Association boys soccer matchup.
Nick Sutryk led the Knights with four goals, including the first goal of the game, Blake Driskell added two goals, as Addison built up a 3-0 halftime lead. The Knights scored all three goals in the first 20 minutes of the game.
"Nick led the way and set the the tone for the whole night," Addison head coach Dennis Knowles said. "Once we started scoring the floodgates started opening. Jumping on them quick I think was key."
Brian Simon contributed a goal from a penalty kick and Sutryk netted three of his goals in the second half for Addison.
Simon also had two assists while Colby Jones and Driskell added one.
Ethan Park netted the lone goal for Campbell-Savona in the second half.
The Knights outshot the Panthers 32-13 in the game.
Gavin Ayers had 10 saves for Campbell-Savona and Donovan Youmans stopped seven shots for the Knights.
Addison (1-0) will finish up a delayed game in Alfred-Almond Saturday at 11 a.m. while the Panthers (0-1) will host Jasper-Troupsburg Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
