Hammondsport’s Glenn H. Curtiss Museum will host its annual vintage motorcycle event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
There will be more than 100 vintage motorcycles on display.
A special guest will be Jody Perewitz of Bridgewater, Mass., who holds eight land speed records, one of which is a world record. Perewitz set a record in 2011 by reaching a speed of 203.11 mph at the BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials, becoming the first woman to go over 200 mph on an American V-Twin.
Admission is $6, which includes a chance to tour the museum, located at 8419 State Route 54. For details, call 569-2160.
Curtiss, the museum’s namesake, was among the earliest American motorcycle manufacturers and set a world land speed record in 1907 at Ormond Beach, Fla. on one of his motorcycles which stood until 1930.
