    DWI/possession of a weapon
    BATH | Bath Police responded to Geneva Street in the village on April 7 after a report from the Steuben County 911 Center that the Steuben County Sheriff's Office was looking for a red Dodge Dakota where the driver allegedly was involved in breaking the window to someone's vehicle and stealing hteir gun at a bar on State Route 54.
    Bath Police located the vehicle being operated on Geneva St. The driver was taken into custody. The driver, James D. McElwee, of Penn Yan was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is to appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
    STEUBEN SHERIFFS
    Violation of probation
    BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Kevin M. Brown, 22, of State Route 415, Campbell, for violation of probation on April 10 at the County Office Building. Deputies were assisted by the Steuben County Probation Department with the arrest. Brown was arraigned in Steuben County Court and remanded to the Steuben County jail without bail.

    Possession of marijuana
    BATH | State Police arrested Dylan J. Walker, 18, of Avoca on April 3 for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Bath court at a later date.
    PAINTED POST STATE POLICE
    Criminal contempt
    CORNING | State Police arrested Steven T. Warner, 33, of Painted Post on April 3 for second-degree criminal contempt following a complaint. He was arraigned in the town of Corning court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 property bond.
    Theft of services
    ERWIN | State Police arrested Richard L. Knapp, 55, of Horseheads on April 2 for theft of services following a complaint from Vets Taxi Service. Knapp was accused of not paying for $149 worth of taxi service. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Erwin court at later date.
    Several charges
    SAVONA | State Police arrested Kristina M. Willetts, 25, of Scio on March 31 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .14 percent and several other traffic infractions following a traffic stop on I-86. She is scheduled to appear in the village of Savona court at a later date.
    Possession of marijuana
    TUSCARORA | State Police arrested Nicholas D. Donlon, 22, of Flagstaff, AZ on March 31 for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 714. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Tuscarora court at a later date.
    Petit larceny
    ERWIN | State Police arrested Shawn M. Riley, 17, of Corning on March 29 for petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint from Walmart. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Erwin court at a later date.

    Assault/Harassment
    CANISTEO | State Police arrested Kyle W. Kilmer, 25, of Canisteo on March 30 for third-degree assault and second-degree harassment following a dispute. He is scheduled to appear in the village of Canisteo court at a later date.
    HORSEHEADS STATE POLICE
    Several charges
    SOUTHPORT | State Police arrested Karen L. Bowman, 41, of Elmira on April 3 for felony driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .12 percent, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and use of vehicle without an interlock device following a traffic stop. She was arraigned in the town of Southport court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 property bond.

    VAN ETTEN | State Police arrested Thomas J. Swartout, 46, of Van Etten on March 29 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .15 percent following a traffic stop. He is scheduled to appear in the village of Van Etten court at a later date.
    AUO
    HORSEHEADS | State Police arrested Randy A. Pruyne, 32, of Milan, PA on March 29 for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on State Route 17. He is arraigned and remanded tot he Chemung County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
    Petit larceny
    HORSEHEADS | State Police arrested John Butts, 42, of Elmira Heights on March 29 for petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint. Butts is accused of taking $996.76 worth of merchandise from Walmart. He is scheduled to appear in the town of Horseheads court at a later date.
