  • BATH VILLAGE
    False impersonation
    BATH | Joshua Andrew Sumers, 20, homeless, was charged Sept. 8 with false impersonation, unlicensed operator, inadequate lights, unsafe turn.
    Bad check
    BATH | Mary Alice Brewer, 39, of 16 Spruce St., Canisteo, was charged Sept. 9 with bad check.
    Underage possession
    BATH | Chance Gunner Thompson, 18, of 10 Jackson St., was charged Sept. 9 with underage possession of alcohol.
    Possession under 21
    BATH | Andrew Jeffery Lehmann, 19, of 5485 Obes Glen Road, Canisteo, was charged Sept. 9 with possession of alcohol under 21.
    Criminal possession
    BATH | Vincent S. Long, 50, of Steuben County Jail was charged Sept. 10 with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
    AUO
    BATH | Lee James Seager, 19, of 6881 Dickson Drive, was charged Sept. 11 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator.
    Burglary
    • BATH | Chase S. Robertson, 22, of 96 Best St., Buffalo; Terrell C. Littlejohn, 18, of 438 Walden Ave., Buffalo; Terrell L. Hale, 30, of 116 Montana St., Buffalo, were all charged with second-degree burglary Sept. 12.
    • BATH | Joshua David Baily, 23, of 6507 Route 415, was charged Sept. 14 with first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery and violation of probation.
    Petit larceny
    BATH | Courtney L. Riley, 22, of 2664 Miles Road, Addison, was charged Sept. 13 with petit larceny.
    Criminal possession
    BATH | Samuel Ranson Hall, 20 of 5 Campbell St., was charged Monday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
    Unlawful possession
    BATH | William B. Didas, no age given, 8009 Spencer Hill Rod, Hammondsport, was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana.
    Assault
    BATH |Cynthia Lynn Bronson, 38, of 29 W. William St., Apt. 101, was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault and second-degree criminal trespass.
    STEUBEN SHERIFFS
    Violation of probation
    BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Kenneth J. Schoonover, 31, of Bridge Street in the city of Corning for violation of probation warrant on Tuesday. Schoonover entered the Steuben County Office Building for a meeting with his probation officer at which time Schoonover was taken into custody. Schoonover was arraigned in Steuben County Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail. He will reappear in court at a later date.
    Petit larceny
    URBANA | Deputies report the arrest of Anthony James “Tater” Whitehead, 42, of the town of Urbana Tuesday. Deputies were called to investigate a stolen tree stand from wooded property along County Route 13 in the township of Urbana. Upon completion of the investigation it is alleged that Whitehead went onto another person’s property and removed a tree stand that was secured to a tree. Whitehead was issued an appearance ticket for the charge of petit larceny. Whitehead will appear in the town of Urbana court at a later date.

    CAMPBELL | A 32-year-old Campbell man has been arrested in connection with a stolen 1981 Corvette.
    Darrell J. Hoad II, of Wolf Run Road, was charged with third-degree grand larceny and released from custody on his own recognizance.
    According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of the vehicle gave it to Hoad so Hoad could perform work on it. Hoad reported the vehicle missing May 21.
    Investigators determined Hoad sold and traded automotive parts from the vehicle. The charges against Hoad stem from him having possession of the vehicle at the time of its disappearance, deputies said.
    The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 622-3911. Anonymous tips can be left at www.steubencounty.org/Sheriff.
    Several charges
    THURSTON | Deputies report the arrest of Pierce N. Tarr, 19, of Mechanic Street, Prattsburgh after an investigation of a one car motor vehicle accident in the town of Thurston on September 16. Tarr was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more of alcohol, driving while intoxicated along with unlicensed operator. Tarr was released and will appear in the town of Thurston court at a later date to answer to the charges.
    Disorderly conduct
    BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Bryan J. Hughes, 20, of State Route 415, Campbell for disorderly conduct on September 14 at the County Office Building. Hughes was issued an appearance ticket to reappear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
    Several charges
    • CANISTEO | Deputies report the arrest of Samantha J. Stuart, 21, of Pamala Dr., Mt. Sterling, KY. Stuart was arrested by deputies following a traffic stop on East Main St. in the village of Canisteo. It was discovered that Stuart was operating without a license and has nine active suspensions for failure to appear and pay fines. Stuart was charged with failure to dim headlights, a violation and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Stuart also had an arrest warrant out of the city of Hornell for several traffic violations. Deputies issued Stuart citations to appear in the village of Canisteo court and he was turned over to the Hornell City Police Department.
    • ARKPORT | Deputies report the arrest of Ryan W. Macintyre, 24, of Erie Ave., Hornell. Macintyre was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 36 in the village of Arkport. Deputies discovered that Macintyre was operating without a license and had eight suspensions for failing to appear or pay fines on previous driving offenses. Macintyre was charged with speeding and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Macintyre was arraigned in the town of Hornellsville court. He was released on his own recognizance and is set to appear back in court at a later date.

    • CORNING | Deputies report the arrest of a Corning resident, Bruce E. Ross, Jr., 39, of Hornby Road was arrested September 14. Ross was arrested and charged with violation of probation warrant ussed by the Steuben County Probation Department. Additional charges are pending. Ross was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail and will appear in Steuben County Court at a later date.
    • CORNING | Deputies report the arrest of a Corning resident. Theresa M. Latham, 21, of Pinewood Ave., Corning. Latham was arrested and charged with violation of probation warrant issued by the Steuben County Probation Department. Latham was arraigned in the city of Corning court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. She will appear in the city of Corning court at a later date.
    Grand larceny/possession of stolen property
    CORNING | Deputies report the arrest of a city of Corning resident on September 14, 2012 for one count of fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Jessica R. Allen, 30, of Corning was arrested after the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint made in June of this year of a stolen credit card. The charges allege that Allen stole and possessed a credit card belonging to a town of Corning resident and used the credit card without permission. Allen was picked up at her home where she was transported to the Sheriff’s Office sub-station in South Corning. Allen was charged and then transported to the town of Erwin court and arraigned. Allen was remanded to the Steuben County Jail on $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 property bond. Allen will reappear in court at a later date.
    LIVINGSTON COUNTY SHERIFFS
    Possession of marijuana
    HORNELL | Michael E. Kelleher, 32, Hornell, NY, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on September 10, and was released on an appearance ticket to address charges in the town of Geneseo court on a later date.
