  • The results of a local college’s urban design study of the village of Bath will be on display from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bath VFW on State Route 54.
Seniors in Alfred State College Architecture and Design Professor Bill Dean will be on hand to present their ideas on revitalizing downtown Bath and village neighborhoods.
The project began last September, after the class toured the village, then met with Bath officials to learn more about the village board’s vision for the area.
Since then, they have created a master plan and drawn up different designs for the village.
Village officials said the school’s plan fits neatly into current economic development studies undertaken with the village of Savona and town of Bath.
The project is a joint effort between the village and a community revitalization group led by Sheri Nobles and Debbie Deats.
According to Nobles, the students recently presented their project at a national conference in Washington D.C.
