    Several charges
    • BATH | Deputies report the arrest of a Binghamton resident and a Hornell resident on June 24, 2013 on a superior court arrest warrant issued out of Steuben County. Mindy S. Baker, 39, of Front St., Binghamton and David Halstead, 45, of E. Main St., Hornell were arrested for one count of third-degree grand larceny, a class D Felonyonce count of third-degree welfare fraud, a class D Felony and four counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E Felony.
    Deputies were contacted by the Steuben County Department of Social Services regarding a possible fraud. After a several month long investigation it is alleged thatHalstead and Baker did file several documents with the Steuben County Department of Social Services. While doing so it is alleged that they received over $3,400 in benefits they were not entitled to.
    Binghamton Police Department located both David Halstead and Mindy Baker and arrested both of them on the superior court warrant issued for their arrest. Binghamton Police turned both subjects over to Steuben County deputies where they are held with no bail. On June 25 Baker and Halstead were arraigned and released on their own recognizance.
    • BATH  | Deputies report the arrest of Anthony G. Pascoe, 30, of Woodbine Avenue, Rochester on June 21, 2013 for possession of contraband in the Steuben County Jail and unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies were doing a routine search of the subject while he was being booked intot he county jail, when deputies found marijuana concealed in his socks and sneakers. Pasco was issued an appearance ticket for the town of Bath court at a later date.
    Assault
    BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Edward Hullings, 42, of Gardner Rd., Bath for third-degree assault, a Class A Misdemeanor. Allegedly that Hullings struck another man with a closed fist, causing injury that required medical treatment. Hullings will appear in the town of  Wheeler court at a later date.
    Possession of marijuana
    • BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Cameron Tombs, 19, of McMaster St., Bath for unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation of NYS Penal Law. Allegedly during a routine traffic stop Tombs was in possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana and a ticket for excessive speed in a 55 mph zone. Tombs will appear in the town Bradford court at a later date.
    • BATH | Steuben County Sheriff's Court and Building Security Division reports the arrest of Daniel L. Miller, 54, of Dorset Drive, Canandaigua on June 25, 2013 on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana. During the weapons screening process at the Steuben County Office Building in Bath, Miller was found with a metal smoking device which allegedly contained a small amount of marijuana.
    Miller was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
