Boys Basketball SCAA
Canisteo-Greenwood 70/Avoca 42
AVOCA | Canisteo-Greenwood’s Wesley Rice netted 16 of his 18 points in the first half to help the Redskins knock off Avoca Friday.
Canisteo-Greenwood began the game by netting three consecutive 3-point baskets, then led 40-20 at intermission, then continued to cruise in the second half. A.J. Murphy added 13 points, while Aaron Mills and Dylan Steen chipped in nine points each.
Avoca was led by 20 points from Tim Covell and 16 points from Jake Clarkson.

Boys Basketball/Nonleague
Cuba-Rushford 50/Campbell-Savona 34
CAMPBELL | Taylor Rose netted 17 points Friday to pace Cuba-Rushford in a 50-34 win over Campbell-Savona.
Alex Nolton scored seven points for the Panthers, while teammate Caleb Drumm added five points and eight rebounds.
Campbell-Savona (6-8) will host Addison at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Girls Basketball
Bath-Haverling 48/Wayland-Cohocton 45
BATH | Courtney Coots erupted for a game-high 19 points as Bath Haverling survived a late scare to hold off Wayland-Cohocton for a 48-45 victory Friday.
The Rams held a six-point lead with less than 10 seconds to play, but watched Wayland-Cohocton cut the lead to three and get possession and one last chance for a tie.
Coots knocked down 8-of-11 from the line and also grabbed six rebounds.
“Courtney had her best game of the season and she couldn’t have picked a better time to do it,” Bath head coach Randy Abrams said.
Jordan Yastremski added nine points and a team-best 13 rebounds for the Rams.
When the two teams met earlier this season, Wayland-Cohocton beat Bath (9-3, 4-1) by nearly 30 points.

Swimming/SCAA Championships
CAMPBELL | Nick Van Stackelberg won four events and set a new pool record to lead Alfred-Almond to the county title Friday at Campbell-Savona.
Von Stackelberg won the 500-yard freestyle in record fashion, then also won the 200 freestyle and was on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams. Patrick Greaney, also of Alfred-Almond, was on the same relay teams and recorded wins in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Alfred-Almond’s Maddie McConnell posted a new pool record in the 200 individual medley and Derek Brown broke up Alfred-Almond’s clean sweep with wins in the 500 and 100 freestyles.
Addison finished second overall and host Campbell-Savona was third.

Indoor Track/LCAA meet
ROCHESTER | Ireland Armstrong set a new Bath Haverling record in the 300-meter run Friday for a fifth-place finish, clocking in a 45.23 seconds in an LCAA indoor track meet at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Brittany Havens finished eighth in the same event, while D’Lana Buckley was 11th in the 1,500-meters with a new personal-best time and Mary Colomaio was 19th in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 23-feet-.5-inch. On the boys side, Justin Conklin was eighth in the 300 with a new high mark, D.J. Rawleigh was 15th in the 1,000-meter run and Brock Martin was 17th in the 55-meter dash with a season-best time.
