  • Area students visit Steuben Sheriff's office for presentations

  • Approximately 40 students from Addison, Bradford, Wayland Cohocton, Hornell, Campbell Savona, Corning East High, and Haverling attended a Student informational meeting on April 17, 2013 from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office in Bath.

  • Approximately 40 students from Addison, Bradford, Wayland Cohocton, Hornell, Campbell Savona, Corning East High, and Haverling attended a Student informational meeting on April 17, 2013 from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office in Bath. Several presenters from the New York State Police, District Attorney’s Office, Kinship, the Steuben County Jail, Steuben Council on Addictions, Steuben County Probation, former New York State Corrections employee, a Steuben County Deputy Sheriff, and a relative of a subject killed in a DWI accident in Chemung County did presentations on drug and alcohol abuse and covered school issues on bullying and other crimes. Sheriff Cole started the program for high school students to attend from interested schools in Steuben County. More programs are to be scheduled in the future involving several agencies mentioned.
