SWAIN | The Bath Haverling girl’s ski team finished third overall in the slalom and fifth in the giant slalom Saturday at Swain Ski Center.
In the slalom, Sara Apenowich was 11th overall with a time of 38.75, followed by Ellen Eichensher (13th) and Leah Flint (20th). In the giant slalom, Eichensher was eighth overall with a two-run time of 1:27.50, followed by Flint (13th) and Danielle Neu (19th).
On the boy’s side, Trevor Lang was fourth in the slalom (33.08), followed by Chris Spencer in fifth (33.14). In the giant slalom, Lang was sixth overall (1:19.66), while Spencer was 12th.
The teams will compete again Wednesday.
Indoor Track/Section V Meet
ROCHESTER | Bath Haverling’s Ireland Armstrong pole vaulted 9 feet, 6 inches to take second place at the indoor track and field meet held at RIT Saturday.
Armstrong was competing against 40 pole vaulters and tied her personal best.
The 3,200 relay team of Jen Volz, Leah Helm, Brianna Decker and Brittany Havens posted a season best time of 12:03.
For the boys, the team of DJ Rawleigh, Chris Murray, Ian Henrichsen and Brett Washburn set a season’s best time of 9:52 in the 3,200 relay, while David Fulkerson, Michael Johnson, Justin Conklin and Brok Martin posted a best time of 1:44.17 in the 600 relay.
