  • February and March were momentous months for Bath American Legion Riders. They elected their new slate of officers on February 5, and then, had their first Annual Installation & Awards Dinner on February 23 at the Bath Legion.
Before the dinner, some Legion Riders setup at the American Twin Harley/HHMC Swap meet in Erwin to spread the news about the first, and only, Steuben County ALR chapter and recruit new members.
Their first annual Chicken ‘n Biscuits Dinner was at the Bath Legion Friday, March 1 to raise funds for their first Legacy Scholarship Benefit Poker Run and Pork Roast on June 15. They served a whopping 139 dinners to supporters from as far away as Hornell. Funds were raised to purchase T-shirts for the June Legacy Scholarship Benefit, where 100% of profits will go to the Legacy Fund.
On their March 5 meeting, they ended up with a grand total of 79 members their first year, which is now currently at 83.
Following that, on March 9, Bath ALR joined all the Legion Family, at the Legions’ Birthday celebration, to recruit new members, and get word out more.
Then, on March 16, a few members attended the Horseheads ALR’s Swap Meet in the morning and came back to participate in the MSF motorcycle group riding safety course at Bath Legion, with a total of 35 riders, including Hornell AmVets, Corning HOG chapter, Bath ALR, and a few other riders.
