  • Cole holds weekly free self-defense classes

  • With the recent attack on a jogger in Steuben County, Sheriff David V. Cole would like to remind adults that he holds self-defense classes at the Public Safety Building in Bath from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. every Wednesday.

  • With the recent attack on a jogger in Steuben County, Sheriff David V. Cole would like to remind adults that he holds self-defense classes at the Public Safety Building in Bath from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. every Wednesday. Sheriff Cole’s classes are geared toward all types of attacks. He currently has adults from ages 35 to 60 taking these self-defense classes which are free of charge.
    Sheriff Cole is a sixth-degree Black Belt teaching Karate and Judo classes since 1982. He is a former Self-Defense Instructor for the New York State Police. Sheriff Cole teaches basic self-defense in many different situations, including multiple attackers, armed and unarmed, attackers with weapons and all types of “grab” attacks.
