  • BATH - Bath police  arrested Reginald C. Applewhite, age 55, of Colonial Lawns, Bath, August 18 for criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D.Felony. The arrest stems from an incident where  Applewhite approached officers and threatened them with a club and refused to cooperate with officers' commands. He was arraigned in Bath Village Court ad remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.  He will reappear in Bath Village Court August 22.
    BATH - Bath Police arrested Roy D. Hyer, 35, of Savona for criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony. He was arrested for damaging the door and breaking several windows of a Campbell resident. Hyer was arraigned in Bath Village Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. He will reappear in Bath Village Court August 22.
    BATH – Bath police arrested William Strorms, 61, of Cohocton, NY for Cruelty to Animals. The charge stems from a complaint reported August 18 at a location on West Steuben Street, in the Village of Bath. It was reported a small dog had been found in the rear  yard with a severe rear leg wound. It could not be determined at the time how the dog had been injured. August 22, Storms came to the Bath Police Department and reported he had injured the dog by hitting it with his lawn mower. Storms was issued an appearance ticket for a later court date.
    Sheriffs
    BATH – The Steuben County Sheriff's Office of Criminal Investigation has charged Zachary A. White, 20, of Lindley, with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child, after an investigation revealed White had allegedly had sexual relations with a 16-year-old female while he was 19 years old. He is scheduled to appear in Lindley Town Court at a later date.
    BATH – The Steuben County Sheriff's Department responded to a one-car personal injury auto accident approximately 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 17 in the Town of Troupsburg.
    Tracie J. Hartman, 37, of 3466 County Route 82 in Troupsburg was traveling south on Old State Road when she lost control on a curve and went off the left side of the roadway, where she hit a tree stump.
    Hartman was taken by Troupsburg EMS to St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell for non-life-threatening injuries. Her two children were also  taken to St. James Hospital by Greenwood EMS. All were treated and released.

    BATH | Alan Lee Sherry, 42, 104 May St., was charged Aug. 14 with criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny.
    ASSAULT
    BATH| Keith Clinton Graves, 53, of 7719 State Route 53, Kanona, was charged Aug. 15 with second-degree assault.
    GRAND LARCENY
    BATH | Lester Leroy Hoose, 53, of 19 May St., Apt. 215, was charged Aug. 17 with third-degree grand larceny.
    EXPOSURE
    Page 2 of 2 - BATH | Patrick Lee Travis, 46, of 101 W. Washington St., Apt. 204, was charged Aug. 17 with exposure of person.

    BATH | Craig Kimbo, 42, of 1272 N. Clinton Road, Rochester, was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator.
    CRIMINAL MISCHIEF | Roy Dean Hyer, 35, of 1391 1/2 Dusenbury Road, was charged Sunday with third-degree criminal mischief.
    CRIMINAL CONTEMPT
    BATH | Bert Randall James, 35, of 31 W. William St., Room 7, was charged Sunday with second-degree criminal contempt.
    BATH | Douglas Alan Hamilton, 39, of 67 E. Morris St. Room 7, was charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal contempt.
    PETIT LARCENY
    BATH | Jamie Lawrence Gould, 20, of 116 Campbell St., Apt. 201, was charged Monday with petit larceny.
    MULTIPLE CHARGES
    BATH | Joseph Vromen Smalt, Jr., 49, of 14 Oldfield Court, Apt. 202, was charged Monday with second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment.
    BAD CHECK
    BATH | Michael Francis Demyan III, 46, of 223 South Virginia Dr., Yuma, Ariz., was charged Monday with bad check.
    AUO
    BATH | Michael McCullough, 36, of 206 Campbell St., was charged Wednesday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed operator.
