    AUO/possession of marijuana
    BATH | Thomas A. Margeson, 27, of Bath, was arrested March 3, for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 415. Margeson will appear in the town of Bath court at a later date.
    MVA
    WAYNE | Bath State Police were dispatched by Steuben County 911 to a two car motor vehicle accident on County Route 87 in the town of Wayne March 3. Following an investigation, Jennifer M. Schwan, 28, of Avoca, was arrested for felony aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra's Law, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana. Schwan's daughter was seated in a child protective seat and was unharmed in the collision. Schwan was scheduled to appear in the the town of Wayne court at a later date.
    DWI/AUO
    BATH | On March 6, Steuben County 911 alerted area patrols to be on the lookout for a stolen Craftsman lawn mower. Bath State Police located the lawn mower being operated on Liberty St. in the village of Bath. Following an investigation, George K. Barkley, 28, of Bath was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .10 percent and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Barkley also has two active warrants through Corning Police Dept. He was arraigned in the village of Bath court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond.

    • BATH | Michael A. Cavallaro, 25, of Corning, was arrested March 3 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .17 percent following a traffic stop on West Washington St. Cavallaro will appear in the village of Bath court at a later date.
    • BATH | Denise M. Taggart, 26, of Bath, was arrested March 4 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .09 percent after she drove to the Bath barracks to pick up her boyfriend. Taggart will appear in the town of Bath court at a later date.
    STEUBEN SHERIFFS
    Causing a disturbance
    AVOCA | Deputies reports the arrests of Gary A. Didas, 51, of Neils Creek Rd., after he caused a disturbance at his court appearance. Deputies arrived and Didas was behaving in an aggressive and threatening manner. Deputies attempted to place Didas in custody at which point he began to a resist. He was taken into custody with significant incident. Didas was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance to answer the charges against him at a later date.
    Petit Larceny
    CAMPBELL | Deputies report the arrest Thursday, Feb. 7, of two Campbell residents, Scott D. Chandler, 43, and Sherri L. Patterson, 44, of Manning Ridge Road, Painted Post. Both were charged with Petit Larceny after deputies investigated the report of gravel being taken from the Steuben County Department of Public Work Highway Shop in Curtis during December 2012. Both subjects were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Campbell Court at a later date. Deputies were assisted by the Steuben County Department of Public Works and Town of Campbell Code Enforcement officer.

    BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Christopher A. Cook, 28, of Pulteney St., Corning. Cook was arrested on an Elmira Police Department Arrest Warrant. He was taken into custody by deputies at the Steuben County Office Building and later turned over to Elmira Police Department.
    Several charges
    DANSVILLE | Deputies report the arrest of Erik L. Briggs, 41, of County Route 46, Dansville. It is reported that at about 1:37 p.m. March 10 a deputy was on area patrol on County Route 46 when he discovered a pickup truck stopped in the roadway with the operator unconscious at the wheel. After further investigation the operator was found to be in allegedly intoxicated condition. Erik Briggs was charged with driving while intoxicated, no seat belt, failing to maintain designated lane and unlawfully parked on pavement. Briggs was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

    ERWIN | William T. Hilton, 39, of Painted Post, was arrested March 2 for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on North Hamilton St. Hilton will appear in the town of Erwin court at a later date.
    DWI
    CORNING | Brad R. Clark, 33, of Corning, was arrested March 1 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .17 percent following a traffic stop on State Route 352. Clark will appear in the town of Corning court at a later date.
    Possession of marijuana
    CORNING | Kevin C. Peel, 32, of Wellsburg, was arrested March 5 for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on River Road. Peel will appear in the town of Corning court at a later date.

    • WAYLAND | Joseph J. Gettys, 31, of Dansville, was arrested March 4 for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on County Route 91. Gettys will appear in the town of Wayland court at a later date.
    • HORNELLSVILLE | Ezequiel Rodriguez, 56, of Canisteo, was arrested for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Rodriguez will appear in the town of Hornellsville court at a later date.
    DWI/Possession of marijuana
    HORNELLSVILLE | Tammy J. Henry, 55, of Arkport, was arrested March 6 for driving while intoxicated with a blood alochol content of .17 percent and unlawful possession of marijuana. Henry will appear in the town of Hornellsville court at a later date.
    HORSEHEADS STATE POLICE
    Criminal possession of a controlled substance
    HORSEHEADS | Meagan A. Drislane, 19, of Milan, PA, was arrested March 3 for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on Chemung St. Drislane will appear in the village of Horseheads court at a later date.
    Driving while ability impaired by drugs/possession of marijuana
    BIG FLATS | Xavier R. Mustico, 19, of Elmira, was arrested March 2 for driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 352. Mustico will appear in the town of Big Flats court at a later date.

    HORSEHEADS | Brittany J. Faulise, 23, of Corning, was arrested March 8 for petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint on March 4. Faulise allegedly stole merchandise valued at $480.34 from Walmart. She is scheduled to appear in the town of Horseheads court at a later date.

    SOUTHPORT | Edward J. Misnick, 40, of Pine City, was arrested March 3 for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent following a traffic stop on Cedar St. Misnick will appear in the town of Southport court at a later date.
    Several charges
    BIG FLATS | Michael A. Fredo, 44, of Big Flats, was arrested March 3 for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .30 percent and several traffic violations following an investigation into a one car property damage accident on State Route 325. Fredo will appear in the town of Big Flats court at a later date.

    • SOUTHPORT | Aisha N. Mavity, 30, of Elmira, was arrested March 4 for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Cedar St. Mavity will appear in the town of Southport court at a later date.
    • VETERAN | Lewis Raymond Payne, 19, of Painted Post, was arrested March 6 for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on State Route 13. He will appear in the town of Veteran court at a later date.
