A Bath home was severely damaged due to fire early Friday morning.
A home on 13 West Morris Street in Bath was severely damaged due to fire early Friday morning, the Bath Volunteer Fire Department said in a statement.
The department was dispatched at 1:20 a.m. Upon arriving on scene, firefighters reported flames blowing out of the rear windows.
The Bath VA, Hammondsport, Kanona, Savona, Pulteney, Avoca, Campbell, Coopers Plains and Wayne fire departments also responded.
Painted Post fire department was on standby.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
One firefighter was taken to Ira Davenport Hospital with what was believed to be a heat-related injury, the department said. There were no other injuries.
The home is currently uninhabitable.
Steuben County and Bath Fire Department investigators were still on scene Saturday morning to determine the cause of the fire.
