The Tony Collins Class of ‘77 Golf Classic to benefit the Autism Initiative will be held Sunday, July 22 at Lakeside Country Club, Rte. 54, Penn Yan with a 1 p.m. tee off.

A new family fun day will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. July 21 at the Firemen’s Field off Lake Street in Penn Yan. There, kids of all ages who are accompanied by an adult will find a variety of activities, including an obstacle course, bounce house, dunking booth, refreshments, games, and face painting. The whole family will have a chance to meet the former NFL football players who will be in town for the Golf Classic the next day.

The Family Fun Day is a free event. 

Collins, the former Penn Yan Mustang and New England Patriots football star, will bring Former NFL players expected to join Collins for the annual weekend to town again this year.

Expected to participate in the classic are:

• Steve Grogan, Patriots quarterback from 1975 to 1990.

• Ronnie Lipett, Patriots corner back from 1983 to 1991

• Irving Fryar, wide receiver for Patriots, Dophins, Eagles, and Redskins from 1984-2000

• Reggie Branch, Redskins running back from 1985 to 1989

• Jeff Yeates, lineman for Buffalo Bills and Atlanta from 1975 to 1984.
