CORNING - The 51st annual student art show sponsored by the Corning Museum of Glass is open for viewing now in the museum auditorium today and through the rest of the week.

A variety of local schools and students contributed original artwork for the show. A total of 13 art instructors helped students throughout the creative process, with middle and high school artwork judged by 16 judges in 22 different media.

Corning Christian Academy student Karis Underwood and Corning-Painted Post school district student Courtney Smith are this year's scholarship winners.

The show is open for viewing today through Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The opening reception took place Tuesday.
