LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, PA. - Police are searching for an Addison man who allegedly crashed a stolen truck after leading police on a chase, then fled from the hospital where he was being treated after a helicopter rescue.
Kaleb M. Heidrick, 30, was driving a stolen Ford truck Sunday on Boomstation Road at the State Route 49 intersection southwest of Lawrenceville when he was spotted by law enforcement, according to Mansfield-based Pennsylvania State Police.
Heidrick quickly fled the area, traveling west on State Route 49 at a high rate of speed, police said. He was pursued through Elkland, traveling north of Ellison Road into the state of New York on County Route 85.
Police said Heidrick crashed the stolen vehicle into the guide rails on Route 85 just south of Blend Road in the Town of Tuscarora.
Heidrick was flown from the scene to the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash, police said. After receiving treatment, Heidrick fled the hospital prior to being discharged. He is currently wanted on an active warrant.
