PAINTED POST - The future Baskin-Robbins ice cream and cake shop location on Victory Highway in Painted Post is scheduled to open in early to mid-September, according to company officials
The location, in the commercial plaza next to Dunkin' Donuts and the Tesla charging stations, is part of a multi-unit deal to open 10 locations across upstate New York.
The ice cream shop will feature drive-through service.
The plaza building itself was approved to accommodate a drive-thru on one end and a gas station on the other. The building is capable of accommodating up to five commercial tenants.
The latest store opened as part of the same 10-unit deal is on Chambers Road in Horseheads. That site, which opened in July, is Baskin-Robbins' first “Moments” store east of the Mississippi River. "Moments" is a design concept with contemporary décor and an updated menu, a company spokesperson said.
The 10-unit expansion is led by franchisees Manish Patel, Sarika Patel, Krunal Patel and Tarak Patel. Manish Patel owns the Dunkin’ Donuts next to the plaza site.
