PAINTED POST - A driver of a car involved in a three-vehicle accident at about 11:50 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate Highway 99, was life-flighted to a local hospital, according to the Painted Post State Police.


The cause of the accident is currently unknown and remains under investigation by the State Police.


Officials said I-99 was temporarily closed to traffic allowing police to get debris off the roadway and the vehicles to be towed from the scene before the passing lane was reopened to traffic.
