Sandra (Sandi) L. Shill, age 81 of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away on June 25, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer.

Sandra (Sandi) L. Shill, age 81 of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away on June 25, 2019 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer. 

Born on February 8, 1938, in Avoca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Unada (Rynders) Smith. She married Harold (Duke) Shill on July 12, 1957 who predeceased her in 2001. 

Sandi was a 1955 graduate of Avoca Central High School. She attended Arnot Ogden School of Nursing in Elmira, NY. In 1987 she graduated from Corning Community College with an Associate Degree in Accounting.

Sandi worked at Bath National Bank for many years and then started her own business “Sandi Shill Decorating” in 1987. After remodeling many homes and businesses she retired in 2002 and moved to North Carolina. She had many hobbies including cooking, sewing, ceramics, needle point, crocheting and canning home goods. Sandi was a very loving wife, mother and grandma.

Sandi is survived by her loving partner, Robert C. Clark also of Pfafftown, NC;  children: Kimberly (Randy) Wood of Tobaccoville, NC, Tracey Shill-Barnard (David) of Addison, NY, Mark (Janet) Shill of Winston Salem, NC,  Edward (Molly) Shill of Pittsford, NY;  grandchildren: Randy II and Sarah Wood, Matthew and Rachael Polmanteer, Laura and Jeff Barnard, Chris (Emily) Shill, Sutton (Patrick) Jones, Katie, Mike and Matthew Shill; siblings: Bonita Montz of NM, Janet Bardeen of AZ, Michael Smith of Bath, NY and Jay Smith of Charlotte, NC;  great-grandchildren: Penelope Jones, Olivia Shill, Emerson and Eli Poag.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sandi was predeceased by sister: Joan Sheely.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. 

The family would like to thank Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home Thomas Lycan, D.O. at Comprehensive Cancer Center, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and ComForCare for their compassionate, excellent care during Sandi’s illness.
