George W. Brayer died at home, surrounded by family on November 19, 2019 in Bath, New York after a short illness, he was 84.

George W. Brayer died at home, surrounded by family on November 19, 2019 in Bath, New York after a short illness,
he was 84.

George was a graduate of Hammondsport Central School with advanced degree in Chemical Engineering from RIT, he worked nearly 25 years for Kodak, where he was a designer and held a patent relative to photo processing.  He fulfilled a lifelong dream to write a book which is currently in review by the Library of Congress.

George was a proud family man and was always supportive of his wife, children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved to have family around and gave from his heart his selfless love and support.

George is survived by wife Barbara of 63 years, daughter Susan Yochum with husband Michael and 4 sons, Robert, Michael with wife Shaleen, Daniel with wife Judi and Gregory with friend Sandy; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 

George’s life will be celebrated in a ceremony on Saturday November 23, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church in Hammondsport, a reception will follow in the basement hall.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Golisano Childrens Hospital, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, New York 14642.
