Warren "Mickey" Moore

BATH - Warren "Mickey" Moore, 84, passed on Friday December 18, 2020 at the Taylor Health Care Facility where he had been for only 6 months. Mickey was born in Woodhall, NY on January 31, 1936, the son of the late Wallace Edwin Moore and Leola Marlatt Moore. He lived his school-aged years in Bath, NY where in 1958 he met and married the woman of his dreams, Nancy (Wheaton) Moore. They enjoyed 58 happy years together until Nancy's passing in 2016. He was proud of their marriage and their accomplishments together over those wonderful years.

He and Nancy were owners of Nancy's Fabric Shop and later Mickey's Sew & Vac for more than 25 years. They volunteered as EMTs at the Bath Volunteer Ambulance Corp for 12 years. Mickey was a member of the Kiwanis Club, a Village Trustee in Bath and volunteered many hours coaching youth baseball. He and Nancy represented Bath, NY families for the Fresh Air Organization in the 1970s. He was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church in Bath and for several years drove his RV to Boone, NC to volunteer with the Samaritan's Purse Shoe Box Program filling shoe boxes with Christmas gifts for underprivileged children around the world. Mickey had several other life-long hobbies including carpentry, building cigar-box guitars and custom-built furniture for his grandchildren. Mickey received great joy from his loving grandchildren and his beloved pup, Maggie!

He was predeceased by his parents, his in-laws Clifford and Arlene (Mitchell) Wheaton, his loving wife Nancy, sister Beverly Morris, brother-in-law Robert Wheaton and daughter-in-law Diane Simms Moore.

He is survived by his daughter Diane (Floyd) Lathrop of Bath, NY, son Tom (Jeanette) Moore of Newfields, NH, grandchildren Sarah (Mike Mays) Moore Tiffany (Bath), Tim (Carolyn Taddei) Moore (Fayville, MA), Stephanie (Jared Puglisi) Moore (Scarborough, ME), Jeff (Jackie) Moore (Andover, MA), and other family in the Bath area.

A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later time.

Arrangements are being handled by Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath.
