Steven Ray Beebe

April 6, 1966 – July 23, 2021

On Friday night, July 23rd, 2021 at 10:33 pm, The Beebe family lost their hero. Steven R. Beebe, age 55 of Savona, NY lost his courageous fight with a medical battle. He was a devoted family man, husband, father, Fire Chief, EMS supporter, community supporter and volunteer, and caring nurse at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Steve proudly led the Savona Fire Department as their Chief for 32 years after joining the department in 1987.

Steve led a full life and had several passions including camping and Go-Kart racing. For several years, his weekend was filled making countless memories racing at the dirt tracks as his daughter's crew chief. Steve loved to have fun adventure days with his wife Charity, and daughters Jacie and Rachel to include countless adventures at Knoebels Amusement Park, and trips to Gettysburg, PA. He enjoyed many years of camping at Sunflower Acres Family Campground with his "Camping Family" and was the full epitome of a family man. Steve was always the first person to give a hug in the time of need or a much deserved laugh at any given moment.

He has left behind to cherish his memories, the love of his life (or "his person" as he called her) of 23 years, Charity Fritz Beebe of Savona; his two daughters, whom he called his two most precious gifts, Rachel Lynne Walters of Horseheads and Jacie Rae Beebe of Savona; and the girls' special guys, Alex Pastrick (Rachel) and Bennett Harris (Jacie).

In addition to his immediate family members, Steve will be greatly missed by his in-laws: Allen K. Fritz Sr. and Sandra K. Fritz of Elkland, PA; sister in-law and brother in-law Penny and Carl Mcguire of Gloucester, VA; brother in-law and sister in-law Allen K. Fritz Jr. and Cheryl of Pennsylvania; along with several nieces and nephews whom he always found the time to support even from many miles away. Steve also leaves behind his fire department family and community, his Orchard Family group, and his special buddy, Toby, the beagle at home. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all. Steve was predeceased by his mother and father Gerald Beebe of Savona and Virginia Huber Beebe of Painted Post.

Funeral Services are being held at Bond-Davis of Bath, NY on Thursday, July 29th. Calling hours will be held from 11 am-3 pm. The fireman's walkthrough will be held at 3:30 pm with services immediately following. Steve will be buried at Seamans Cemetery of Savona where the Fireman's service and burial rites will be held. A celebration of life ceremony will immediately follow with location to be announced.
