BATH — Harley Allendale Columbia took home the Section V Class D swimming crown held in Bath with 389 points followed by Naples (290), Geneseo (267), York (242) and Campbell-Savona (218).
Five participants qualified for the State meet, with three coming in the same event.
John Baker of Geneseo qualified for the state meet in the 200 meter and Notre Dame Batavia’s Chris Lemley qualified in the backstroke.
Whalen Jensen (Naples), John Baker (Geneseo) and Alex Kruger (Genseo) all met New York State qualifiing times in the butterfly.
For Campbell-Savona, Mark Eaton posted a second place finish in diving with a score of 409.75.
Eaton also recorded a fourth place finish in the 200 yard individual medley and in the 200 medley relay along with Derrick Goll, Caine Taft and Colie Smith.
Whalen Jensen of Naples was named the swimmer of the meet with two individual wins.
Geneseo’s head coach Dan Johnson was named Class D coach of the year.
