BATH — No. 3 seeded Bath defeated No. 6 Palmyra-Macedon on Saturday 52-36 in the quarter finals of the Section V Class B Tournament in Bath.

The Rams jumped out to a 15-8 lead after the first quarter and battled to a 25-18 halftime lead.

Pal-Mac started the third quarter on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 25, which forced Rams head coach Randy Abrams to call a time-out.

After the time out, the Rams responded by outscoring the Red Raiders 16-2 the rest of the quarter and pulled away.

Jadyn Abrams had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Rams and Mackenna Taggart had 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

CC Scheik led Pal-Mac with 10 points and Andra Savage had nine points.

“This was a tough physical game with two teams getting after it for the full 32 minutes,” Bath head coach Randy Abrams said. “I was very impressed with our girls for maintaining their composure as the game got more and more physical. Pal-Mac is a good team that plays in a tough league just like we do. I thought our guards did a great job defensively on their top scorer.”

Bath will face No. 2 seeded Wayland-Cohocton in the Class B Semi-Finals in its next matchup.
