CORNING — #4 Corning advanced to the Region 3 Final Four with a 60-47 win over #5 Fulton Montgomery on Tuesday.

Corning jumped out to a 30-26 lead at the half and held Fulton-Montgomery to only eight points in the third quarter.

Amber Edwards led the Red Barons with 20 points and 13 rebounds and Morgan Stratton added 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Adrianna Rutledge had 10 points for Corning.

Wayland-Cohocton 64, Bath 47

HONEOYE — #2 Wayland-Cohocton topped Bath on Tuesday in the semi-finals of the Section V Class B Tournament 64-47.

The Eagles jumped out to a 32-17 lead after the first half.

The Rams cut in to the lead in the third, outscoring Wayland-Cohocton 18-13.

Bath narrowed the lead to eight in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles hit free-throws to clinch the victory.

“Obviously playing a team for a third time we know each other very well,” Bath head coach Randy Abrams said. “Our goal was to show a few different looks at them that they hadn’t seen us do before. That worked on and off, but they are just simply too good. “I was really proud of my girls for not giving up, We were down 20+ at one point.”

Jadyn Abrams netted 20 points to lead the Rams, while Mackenna Taggart chipped in 13 points and Alex Sieber had 12 points.

Abrams posted 11 rebounds and Taggart had 10 rebounds.

Alex Button had 22 points to lead the Eagles and Megan McAllister had 15 points.
