ADDISON - Haverling traveled to Addison Monday and came away with a 60-35 victory in a non-league boys basketball contest.
The Knights jumped out to a 17-12 lead after the first quarter powered by six points from John Stierly and six points from Danny Ames.
Haverling responded in the second quarter, scoring the first 13 points of the frame and outscoring Addison 18-4 in the quarter. Jordan Deats had six points in the quarter and Austin Palmer contributed five points.
The Rams kept the pressure on in the second half, outscoring the Knights 30-14 including holding them to zero points in the final eight minutes of the game.
Deats had 10 of his 18 points in the second half and Alec Sestak burried two of his four 3-pointers and also posted 18 points.
"Haverling played an outstanding defensive game," Addison head coach Mike Makoweic said.
Gage Ames netted 13 points to lead the Knights while Danny Ames and Stierly contributed 10 points.
Haverling improves to 7-8 with the win and will host Hornell at 7 p.m. Wednesday while Addison (12-4) will host Wellsville at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
