HAVERLING - Midlakes topped Haverling 8-5 Saturday in boys lacrosse matchup in Bath.

Brandon Macdonnell had three goals and two assists to lead Midlakes while Max Christiaansen added two goals and Matt Mattoon, Gavin Lathrop and Peyton Morrrow added single goals.

Midlakes jumped out to a 5-1 lead at halftime.

The Rams outscored Midlakes 4-3 in the final 24 minutes.

"We played better in the second half, after the first quarter we played better," Haverling head coach Ken DiDomineck said. "It was a close game. We just have to play a full four quarters."

Jordon Deats led the Rams with three goals and Caleb Drake and Jamie O’Neil added single goals.

Haverling (0-4) will host Aquinas Tuesday at 7 p.m. in its next contest.

Girls lacrosse

Spencerport 16, Corning 13

SPENCERPORT - Spencerport edged Corning 16-13 Saturday in a non-league girls lacrosse matchup.

Spencerport led 11-9 at halftime and outscored the Hawks 5-4 in the second half.

Natalie Choate and Lily Depalma had four goals for Spencerport and Camryn Sack and Paige Pohleven added three goals.

For Corning, Kenna Newman had three goals and three assists, Riley and Logan Olmstead posted two goals and Jenna Dinardo, Ashlee Volpe, Charlotte Nevins and Liv Tanneberger had one goal.

Hannah Shaddock stopped five shots in goal for the Hawks.

Corning will host Vestal Monday at 7:15 p.m.
