ELMIRA - Dave Hicks held off  Jim Narde and Richard Wood to win the 2019 Twin Tiers Senior Championship by a single stroke on Wednesday.

Hicks carded a 1-over par round of 73 to close the tourney at 2-under par.

Narde began the day four shots off first-round leaders Hicks and Barry Edwards and tied Jim Rogers with the lowest round of the day of 70. Wood shot a 73.

Don Fortuna finished with a 71 to tie Rogers two strokes behind Hicks.

Rounding out the Championship Flight were Edwards (70-145), Paul Simonson (72-145), Chip Keister (72-145) and Ricky Pruden (71-145).

Don VanGorder won the first flight with a two-day score of 147.

Ed Kostolansky shot an even-par 72 to win the second flight with a 153, while John Herrick carded a 75 Wednesday to take the third flight (161).

The 2019 Twin Tiers Golf Championship will begin on Friday at Mark Twain, with Day 2 being played at Soaring Eagles
