CORNING - Corning swept Ithaca Thursday 3-0 in a Southern Tier Athletic Conference volleyball matchup.

The Hawks won by scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-20.

"These girls worked hard and kept their momentum up," Corning head coach Amber Freelove said. "We have the best spectators in the area and their energy helps fuel the girls even more."

Sadie Sharkley had 16 kills for the Hawks, Kristen McIntosh added 11 kills and three aces, Olivia Tanneberger had six blocks, Emma Keeler contributed 19 digs, Jenna DiNardo chipped in 10 digs and Kaitlyn DiNardo posted 30 assists.

Julia Wallace had nine kills and two blocks to lead the Little Red while Casey Grange had 11 kills and two blocks and Magnolia Raponi recorded five assists.

Corning improves to 3-1 with the win and will next play at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Binghamton.
