ELMIRA - Addison senior diver Trent Makowiec placed first overall in the John Beecher Invitational meet in Elmira Friday with a score 618.95.
Trent broke the pool record, meet record, school record and is the second highest scoring diver in New York State. Thomas Jacobson, also a senior diver at Addison, placed 4th with a state qualifying score of 460.55.
Corning’s Nick Jubilee finished second.

JEFFERSON - Corning Community College topped Jefferson Community College 80-72 Saturday in a MSAC matchup.
Four players scored in double figures for the Red Barons with Gavin Stein leading the way with a career high 19 points.
Keith Harris had 15 points, Sam Kelly added 14 points and Andre Starks contributed 11 points.
CCC improves to 9-8 overall, 3-1 in MSAC play.

Notre Dame Batavia 97, Prattsburgh 80
BATAVIA - Notre Dame Batavia got offensive in its 97-80 victory over Prattsburgh Saturday in a non-league boys basketball contest.
Colin McCulley netted a career high 40 points for Batavia including 20 in the first half to give Batavia a 44-35 halftime lead.
Batavia outscored Prattsburgh 54-45 in the second half.
Mason Putnam had 37 points to lead the Vikings.
