FULTON - Corning Community College got past Fulton-Montgomery Community College Saturday in overtime, 65-64.


Sam Kelly’s driving layup put Corning up one with 14 seconds remaining. Amoni Clarke secured a defensive rebound with 0.5 seconds left to force a jump ball and seal the win.


Kelly netted 16 points, his fourth-straight game in double figures. Nick Craig recorded his sixth double-double of the season with a 17 point, 10 rebound showing. Dan Fedor had a career high nine points and career high 10 rebounds.


Corning (11-8) will go for a sixth-straight victory when it hosts Cayuga Community College at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Non-league


Penn Yan 44, Haverling 41


BATH - Penn Yan got past Haverling 44-41 Saturday in a non-league boys basketball matchup.


Penn Yan got off to a strong 24 to 12 lead at halftime.


"We dug a hole at half time that we just couldn't get out of," Haverling head coach Bill Baker said. "We played a lot better in the second half half. Very proud of the boys for not given up. Lot of heart."


Mason Kuver had 18 points for the Mustangs. Jordon Deats netted 24 points for the Rams.


Haverling will host LeRoy at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Girls basketball


Prattsburgh-Avoca 51, Batavia Notre Dame 43


PRATTSBURGH - Prattsburgh-Avoca earned a 51-43 win over Batavia Notre Dame Saturday in a non-league girls basketball contest.


"The girls played a solid game tonight, we had a few mental lapses but that's expected against a good team like Batavia Notre Dame," Prattsburgh head coach Jeff Gilbert said. "Once again we had balanced scoring and we defended well. I'm real proud of the girls effort tonight"


The Vikings had four girls in double figures led by Lucia D’Arpino with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Alexis Weldy added 11 points, Emi Moore had 10 points and Kendra Pinckney chipped in nine points.


Amelia McCulley recorded 12 points for Batavia Notre Dame and Montana Weidman contributed 10 points.


Prattsburgh-Avoca will next be in action at 7 p.m. February 1st vs. Andover at home.

Campbell-Savona 53, Canisteo-Greenwood 40


CANISTEO - Campbell-Savona topped Canisteo-Greenwood 53-40 Friday in a Steuben County Athletic Association swimming matchup.


Jacob Sullivan and Alex Feldman were double individual winners for the Panthers with Sullivan taking home wins in the 200 yard individual medley (2:28.08) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.77). Feldman won the 100 backstroke (1:05.83) and the 100 freestyle (56.80).


Caine Taft earned an individual win for Campbell-Savona in the 50 freestyle (22.67).


Tommy Booth (100 breaststroke; 1:14.03) and Kaleb Dininny (200 yard freestyle; 2:06.37) had individual wins for Canisteo-Greenwood.


Girls basketball


Elmira Notre Dame 65, Lansing 40


ELMIRA - Maddy Watts posted 21 points on the way to a 65-40 Elmira Notre Dame victory Friday over Lansing.


Watts had eight first quarter points as the Crusaders jumped out to a 24-7 lead and never looked back.


In addition to Watts, seven other END players got into the scoring column.


Emma Best netted 17 points for Lansing.
