Gary and Elaine Pruyn would like to announce the wedding of their daughter.

Katherine Pruyn of Hammondsport and Jonathan Dieter of Canisteo were married on Saturday, Oct. 3 with Rev. Fred Kelsey and Pastor Paul Rowley officiating at the ceremony. Katherine was given in marriage by her father, Gary Pruyn.

The bride wore a Mori Lee bridal gown. Asymmetrical draping shapes the sweetheart, strapless bodice. The ruched, a-line skirt has a side front pick-up with a flounced insert to the hemline and a chapel length train. The veil was a Giselle Bridal veil, elbow length, two layer and center gathered. The bouquet contained lily's, gerber daisy's, mums, ivy and yellow jasmine flowers.

The bride's attendants were Maid of Honor, friend of bride, Wendy Albert of Buffalo; Bridesmaid was cousin to the bride, Heather Freer of Chicago, Illinois; and the other bridesmaid was sister of the groom, Devin Dieter of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The groom's attendants were Best Man, friend of the groom, Daniel Rahr of Canisteo; Groomsman was friend of the groom, Bradley Brownell of Conway, South Carolina; and the other Groomsman was brother of the bride, John Pruyn of Hammondsport.

A reception was held at the Corning Country Club. A wedding trip is yet to be determined.

Katherine is the daughter of Gary and Elaine Pruyn of Hammondsport. She received a Bachelor Degree in Political Science in May of 2008 at Niagara University. She is no employed at GEICO as a Claims Adjuster.

Jonathan is the son of David and Linda Dieter of Canisteo. He received a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology in May of 2008 at Rochester Institute of Technology. He is now employed with the United States Navy, ENSIGN as a Communication's Officer.

The couple now live in San Diego, California.
