Archie and Dorothy Sprague 65th wedding anniversary

Archie Sprague and Dorothy (Myers) Sprague celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with family and friends at their home in Aiken, SC on November 30, 2011.

They were both born in Hornell and later graduated together from the Avoca Central school. They were married at the Haskinsville Methodist Church in 1946. In 1952 they resided in Bath where Archie worked at Westinghouse and Dorothy was employed at the Bath high school. In 1962 they purchased land near Bath and with their four children Judy, Archie, Ronald and Donna in 1964 opened and operated The Campers Haven Campground. In 1969 they moved to Horseheads where Archie later retired in 1986 as supervisor of the Specifications and data base group after completing 35 years with Westinghouse. Dorothy retired as secretary at the Horseheads Methodist Church.

They moved to Florida in 1988 where Archie continued to enjoy his musical gigs and Dorothy enjoyed her arts and crafts. In 2006 they moved to their dreamhouse in Aiken, SC where they continue to enjoy their retirement.
