Parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church in Campbell are gearing up for the celebration of the church’s 140th anniversary this summer, highlighted by a Mass celebrated  Aug. 28 by the diocese of Rochester Bishop Matthew Clark.

In advance of the anniversary celebration,  parishioners have compiled a book and a photo CD chronicling the history of the church from its beginnings to the present.

Parish researchers have pulled an array of photos of the little church from the area and diocesan archives, from the earliest days when Campbell- area Catholics made the day-long trip to Corning to attend Sunday Mass.

Included are photos of the priests who have served the church and of the church building itself through the years with its changes and additions.

The $5 book and $3 CD will be available this summer and may be ordered during regular weekend Masses.
