Parmley charge close to resolution

The charge against Hornell businessman David Parmley is expected to be resolved next week, according to Assistant District Attorney David Coddington.

The case was adjourned in Hornell City court Tuesday morning when Parmley’s attorney, Brian Schu, was detained in a Steuben County Legislature meeting.

Parmley was charged with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony,  in May.

The president and owner of Covered Wagon Tours and the assistant treasurer of the Hornell Industrial Development Agency, Parmley allegedly falsified a vehicle inspection report for a tour bus.

The case was rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in city court.
