Red Cross Emergency Response training schedule announced

Press Release

Red Cross will be holding its Winter/Spring training's for people interested in becoming part of the Red Cross emergency response team of volunteers. Red Cross emergency volunteers are responsible for responding to disasters whenever they are called upon. The typical emergency in our area is a single or multiple family house fire where Red Cross volunteers assist victims by providing temporary shelter and direct financial assistance for basic necessities.

Red Cross emergency volunteers are extensively trained and gain valuable skills. Trained volunteers can be deployed to major disasters around the country such as floods, hurricanes, landslides, ice storms and wildfires.

All training is free and available to those individuals who like to roll up their sleeves and get into the action. Being part of the Red Cross emergency services team is often viewed as a way to give back by helping other people in their time of greatest need.
