Reed sets public meetings

Staff reports

U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, will hold three public meetings Saturday, starting out at 8 a.m. at the Southport Town Hall.

The other two town hall meetings will be held in Ontario and Yates counties.

“Our national debt has reached $15 trillion,” Reed said. “We are piling a mountain of debt on our children and grandchildren.”

Reed said an honest conversation about how to make significant changes to the U.S. Government is needed.

“I hope that hardworking taxpayers will take time to join the discussion,” Reed said. “The topics are yours to choose. I need to hear people’s opinions.”

Reed has held more than 40 official town hall meetings since he was elected in November 2010.
