Press Release
Mike Hanna, Steuben County Legislator for District 5.

Friday, November 2, 2012, Steuben Senior Services Fund (SSSF) sponsored an Aging in Place Event at the Hammondsport Fire Hall for all Town of Urbana residents.

Eighteen various organizations that provide services to seniors such as transportation, in-home services and repair, financial counseling, insurance options, health care, etc., were present to share specific information about services and eligibility.

A welcome to the event was made by Mike Keane, Director of Steuben County Office for Aging (OFA).

He suggested that residents call the Office for Aging for information about the myriad of services that may be available to seniors in Urbana which would allow them to remain safely in their homes.

Also present were State Assemblyman Phil Palmesano and Steuben County Legislator Mike Hanna who both expressed the importance of finding out about the services that are available to seniors and the long history that OFA has in offering in-home assistance.
