Steuben County indictments

Four grand jury indictments were recently handed up to Steuben County Judge Peter Bradstreet.

Indicted were:

• Donald Stauffer, 43, of Cottage Ave., Hornell, was charged with several counts of second-degree rape, a class D felony, third-degree sexual abuse, a class B misdemeanor, Endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. The charges accuse Stauffer of having sexual contact with a female younger than 15 years old.

• Jesse Holmes, 33, of 1730 Shadewood Ave., Evansville Ind., was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated, a class E felony. He is accused of driving in the city of Corning with a blood alcohol level of .12 percent. He was convicted in 2007 of DWI in the state of Kansas.

• Harold Hand Jr., 31, of Cameron Mills, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class E felony, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He is accused of driving in the town of Thurston with a blood alcohol level of .18 percent. He was convicted of DWI in the town of Thurston in 2008.

• Quinton Wright, 20, of 221 Madison Ave., Hornell, was charged with multiple counts of second-degree rape, a class D felony, and multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. The charges accuse Wright of having sexual intercourse with a female younger than 15 years old.
