6 transported to St. James in Howard accident

State police, fire departments and other emergency personnel responded to a two-car accident this morning on County Route 114 in the Town of Howard.

Six peoplewere transported to St. James Mercy Hospital Tuesday morning after a two-car accident on County Route 114 in the Town of Howard.

Names of those involved, including the drivers, has not been released by the state police. Authorities said that none of the injuries seemed to be life-threatening. There were three people in each vehicle.

Both cars appeared to be totaled, with glass and other debris scattered across the roadway. The accident occurred near Holevinski Repair and Kent Road.

Steuben County Sheriff’s deputies, ambulances from Howard, Canisteo, Greenwood, Fremont, and Hornell, and the Howard fire department also responded to the accident.
