Petit larceny

BATH | James David Murray, 29 Delaware Ave., was charged Dec. 13 with petit larceny.

Multiple charges

BATH | Nathaniel Sean Tymel, 20, of 120 E. Washington St., Apt. 202, was charged Wednesday with third-degree attempted assault, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.

Violation of probation

• AVOCA | Deputies report the arrest of William J. Quigley III, 34, of West William Street in the village of Bath for violation of probation on Thursday. Quigley entered the Steuben County Office Building for a meeting with his probation officer at which time Quigley was taken into custody. Quigley was arraigned in the town of Avoca court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail. Quigley will reappear in the town of Avoca court at a later date.

• WAYLAND | Deputies report the arrest of Susan L. Nemitz, 29, of Maple Avenue in Cohocton Tuesday. Nemitz was arrested for violation of probation fro her second-degree menacing conviction, while at the Steuben County Office Building at about 11 a.m. Nemitz was arraigned in the town of Wayland court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail. Nemitz will return to the town of Wayland court at a later date to answer to the charges.

• COHOCTON | Deputies report the arrest of Leann M. Brundige, 27, of Maple Ave. in Cohocton. Brundige was arrested for violation of probation on her third-degree assault conviction, while at the Steuben County Office Building at about 11 a.m. Tuesday. Brundige was arraigned in the town of Cohocton court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail with no bail. Brundige will return to the town of Cohocton court at a later date to answer to the charges.

• BATH | Deputies report the arrest of Deforrest H. Dale Jr., 28, of Bath in the town of Bath for violation of probation on January 13. Dale entered the Steuben County Office Building for a meeting with his probation officer at which time Dale was taken into custody. Dale was arraigned in the village of Bath court and released on his own recognizance. Dale will reappear in the village of Bath court at a later date.

Arrest warrant

AVOCA | Deputies report the arrest of Edward P. Hullings, 41, of Knight Settlement Road, Bath at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday at the Steuben County Office Building in Bath. Hulling’s was arrested on an arrest warrant for violation of probation. Hulling’s original charges stem from a fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Hulling’s was arraigned in the town of Avoca, where he was remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 property bond. Hulling’s will reappear in the village of Bath court at a later date.

CAMERON | Deputies report of no injuries in a one car motor vehicle accident that occurred on County Route 10 in the town of Cameron. Deputies report a vehicle being operated by Shane M. Putnam, 35, of Prattsburgh was traveling North on County Route 10 when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road way. Putnam’s vehicle went off the left side of the road way coming to rest on its passenger side after striking a tree. The vehicle received extensive damage to the windshield and roof area and was towed from the scene. Putnam was ticketed for speed not reasonable and imprudent and will appear in the town of Cameron court at a later date.

Found bicycle

ERWIN | Deputies found a bicycle along State Route 417 in the town of Erwin, near the Corning Diesel Plant. The owner of the bike can contact the Sheriff’s Office and will be asked to provided a description and a serial number to claim the bike. Please direct phone calls to Deputy Carter Payne.

Family court warrant

CORNING | Deputies report the arrest of a city of Corning resident Thursday night. Jessie L. Smith, Jr. of Chestnut St., was arrested on a family court warrant issued by Steuben County Family Court. Smith turned himself in after being aired on Twin Tiers most wanted. Smith was sent to the Steuben County Jail to reappear in Family court at a later date.

• FREMONT | Deputies report of no injuries report in a one car property damage motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 21 in the town of Fremont. Deputies report of a vehicle being operated by Jessica L. Vogt, 25, of Hornell was traveling North on State Route 21, when she lost control of her vehicle on the snow covered road way. Vogt’s vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and traveled approximately 175 feet through the yard at 8933 State Route 21 before striking a tree. Vogt’s vehicle received extensive front end damage and was towed from the scene. She was ticked for speed not reasonable and imprudent and will appear in the town of Fremont court at a later date.

• FREMONT | Deputies report of no injuries in a two car motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 21 in the town of Fremont. Deputies report a tow truck being operated by Timothy A. Polmanteer, 52, of Bath was traveling North on State Route 21 and arriving on the scene to tow a motor vehicle from an earlier accident, when the town vehicle he was operating was rear ended by another North bound vehicle being operated by Rebecca L. Miller, 37, of Wayland. Polmanteer’s vehicle received damage and was towed from the scene. Miller was ticked for following too closely and will appear in the town of Fremont court at a later date.

Harassment, criminal mischief

COHOCTON | Deputies report the arrest of Robin L. Bidlack, 47, of Cohocton January 15 following a domestic incident that occurred around 8 p.m. that night. Bidlack was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Bidlack was arraigned in the town of Cohocton court and released on her own recognizance following the issuance of a temporary order of protection. Bidlack is set to reappear in the town of Cohocton court at a later date.
