The Campbell-Savona baseball team claimed a share of the Steuben County Athletic Association title following a 14-1 win over Bradford Thursday in a makeup game.

The victory gave Campbell-Savona a share of the Steuben County Division I title with Alfred-Almond.

Tyler VanDerhoff fired a complete-game two-hitter for the Panthers to pick up the win. VanDerhoff fanned six, walked two and the only run he gave up was unearned.

“I can’t say enough about Tyler’s control,” Campbell-Savona head coach Kurt York said. “He did a phenomenal job.”

The Panthers erupted for 19 hits as Mitchell Allen led the way from the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and four runs scored.

Jess Swan knocked in three runs and went 3-for-4 for the Panthers.

Jon Cook, D.J. Loucks and VanDerhoff each had two hits in the win. Loucks and Cook each doubled and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
